HOTEL DUCALE rome Hotel Ducale is a 3 star hotel situated in the centre of Rome, about 3 km from Termini, the main train and metro station in the city. Located just a few steps from Porta Maggiore, the hotel provides good access to the rest of the city, including all the main tourist sights and monuments, with the Colosseum just a 20-minute walk away. The hotel is housed in a small, historical palace and on arrival, you will be met with a warm welcome from the professional staff.The hotel occupies all 3 floors of a small building (without elevator) and its 16 rooms are clean and well-equipped with useful facilities, including air conditioning and satellite TV. The rooms are also of a good, decent size and nicely furnished to ensure you have a pleasant stay. To complement this, staff are warm and friendly, and always happy to provide you with tips on Rome.

Overall Comment: All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice, clean and larger than many we stayed in while in Europe. As mentioned in other reviews there was a small fridge/minibar, with decent prices, and extra room to put a few items. The room was quiet and peaceful at night.
What did you like: We had a nice balcony with a view. We had breakfast outside on the terrace that had a canopy of real grapes. It was excellent. We were very pleased with our stay. The staff helped us with directions, and held our luggage for us after we checked out, until it was time to check in the next hotel. The hotel was about a fifteen minute walk from the train station. It was manageable with packs.
What you didn't like: I can not really think of anything that was bad. If you are not up to the walk, you might want to take a taxi from the train station. It was a bit of a walk to the main sites.
