HOTEL NARDIZZI
Via Firenze 38, 00184 Rome, ItalyHotel Nardizzi lies directly between Barberini and Repubblica in the heart of Rome. Most of the city's tourist sights and attractions can easily be reached on foot, as well as the shopping street of Via Nazionale and the city's main train station (Termini – approximately 500 meters away). The staff at the hotel are discrete and friendly, and always happy to help out whenever necessary.Hotel Nardizzi is housed on the fourth floor (with elevator/lift) of an old, well-kept building. The street, Via Firenze, is a reasonably small and quite side street which connects Via Venti Settembre with Via Nazionale. The hotel's communal areas and 18 guest rooms have been thoughtfully furnished and uniquely stylized to provide an inviting ambiance, where guests would like to spend some of their time.

Overall Comment: Really good location - easy walking distance to Forum/Colesium, Trevi Fouintain, Spanish Steps. Metro (Line A) less than 5 minutes away. Termini less than 10 minutes for Line B and all buses and tours. Good range of restaurants available locally ( Piaza Bernini). DeSpar shop for snax etc on Via Nazionale a few minutes away.

What did you like: Rooms clean, tidy ours was newly finished (open less than 1 month) - everything worked! Breakfast - continental as you would expect but buffet style with plenty available! Courteous and helpful staff.

What you didn't like: The hotel is a quirky layout on a number of upper floors (there is a small lift!) but no proper bar (or lounge) area - that said plenty available in the locale. Built around scruffy central courtyards with apartments facing, the hotel was noisy - not helped by ongoing building work in the hotel itself and across the road - but if like us you spend most of the day sightseeing (and there is a lot to see) and the evening out wining & dining this is not going to bother you!

Overall Comment: My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nardizzi and would recommend it to our friends. The staff was always present and very helpful. The English language was spoken by everyone so there were no difficulties in understanding each other. The staff was also helpful with directions and with suggesting restaurants. We were very pleased and would not hesitate staying there again.

What did you like: My husband and I thought the location was perfect. We like to do alot of walking and seemed to be centered and within walking distance for most things we wanted to do. We enjoyed the terrace - breakfast in the morning and an occasional bottle of wine in the evening. Speaking of the wine, it was at a very good price. We also loved our room, It was bright and cheery and very Italian.

What you didn't like: A better hair dryer would have been great but I survived!

Overall Comment: I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was great. It was my first stay in Italy and I found it quite easily. I was able to walk from the train station to the hotel with ease. The staff were very friendly and helpful. While not a fancy place, my room was large and clean.

What did you like: Staff friendly and helpful. Room was clean and pretty large.

What you didn't like: Very small elevator takes you to the hotel. Just stick to a low carb diet before your trip!

Overall Comment: A great little hotel in a central location with easy access to all points of interest and safe to walk back to at night. I would certainly recommend it to others (and already have done). Most sites were within walking distance.

What did you like: Central location near sites and bus station, cafes and bars. Rooms excellent and clean. Breakfast delicious with good pastries, coffee and juices. Hotel Reception Staff very helpful and friendly - assisting with where to get transport to the sights of Rome. Someone friendly on the desk whatever time you came home. Although in a quite courtyard - we felt quite safe walking back at night.

What you didn't like: The lift didn't actually take us to the floor where our room was located. There was a lot of walking up and down to get to Reception. People with walking difficulties would find it impossible to climb up and down all the time or manage luggage - we were helped when we arrived but had to carry it up and down on departure - good job we're fit.
