Hotel Residence Barberini is a magnificent hotel situated in the heart of the historical centre of Rome, in front of the Barberini Palace and between Via Veneto and Via Sistina, on the street that leads to the Spanish Steps. A complete renovation of the residence was finished in 2000. The project was carried out with meticulous care and attention and focused on the original 19th century marble of the building. Stylishness and modernity have also been given high priority to ensure that the hotel's guests are constantly surrounded by a prestigious but not stifling ambience. This 5 star hotel offers only large suites/apartments, each one with a king-size bedded room, a living-room with double or twin pull-out sofa-beds, a fully fitted kitchen and a bathroom with shower.
The Unique top-floor Penthousesuite has a king-size bedded room, a living-zone with a kitchen corner and a double pull-out sofa-bed, a bathroom with shower and two separate panoramic terraces with a unique view of the Vatican and the entire city. Every suite is equipped with air conditioning, safety deposit box, Bang & Olufsen TV with DVD player (multilingual DVD collection available at the reception desk), free adsl Internet connection, direct telephone, microwave, refrigerator/mini bar and hairdryer. The breakfast, when requested, is served directly in your suite or on the terrace (only if the penthouse suite is not occupied).

| Overall Comment: A very good and accessible central location within easy walking distance of most of the major sights with excellent access to the metro station for speedier travel when required. The apartment is spacious and the level of cleanliness was good. |

| What did you like: I loved the photographic art in the lobby areas although my elderly mother and aunt found some of it a little modern and startling for their tastes, but it certainly put a smile on their faces. The reception staff were very helpful at all times. |

| What you didn't like: I've nothing negative to say about Barberini and will recommend it to any friends planning a visit to Rome. |
