HOTEL VIRGINIA rome Hotel Virginia is ideally located for a perfect stay in Rome. From here you can reach the main train station, Termini, and the air terminal in about 5 minutes on foot. You will also be able to easily reach the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and most of the historical centre either on foot or by public transport. Because the hotel is nicely situated near the main train station, you will have excellent transport connections to other places of interest which are not so central, such as Trastevere and the Vatican.This 2 star hotel comprises of 30 rooms. All rooms are equipped with en suite bathroom (with shower), air conditioning and TV. The hotel is open 24 hours. Most major credit cards are accepted and breakfast, which is included in our special web rates, is served at the bar situated on the ground floor.

Overall Comment: good price/quality In the center, we visited the Colisee, and many other monuments walking from the hotel. near to the Train station to the airport and ner to the metro station to go to Trevi fountain, vatican and others

Overall Comment: No luxuries, but then, our group of 12 did not need them. All we needed was a place to sleep. We used this hotel twice, before and after our cruise. It was nice and convenient, not sure I would go there again, though.
What did you like: 1) Fairly good location, buses 1 block away, metro 3 blocks. 2) Price is excellent and you get all the basics (private bath, a/c, TV (CNN is only English station), "breakfast"(see below), 3) There's a street market down the block Monday-thru Friday. Nice for shopping at "people's" prices as opposed to "tourist" prices. (clothing, arts & crafts, fruits & vegetables) 4) Our triple room had a small refrigerator (Our friends' triple room did not.) 5) One of the staff is Peruvian (good for Spanish-speakers like ourselves). 6) Attentive staff. They try to please the guests.
What you didn't like: 1) The front of the hotel and the entrance way are NOT inviting. But once you climb to the 2nd floor (1st floor in Europe), the decor is nice and clean. 2) Yes, you have to carry your bags up one flight of stairs. That's where you can take the elevator to get to the upper floors. 3) The smell of cigarette smoke is strong in the 1st floor hallway (the desk attendant smokes quite a bit). 4) Breakfast (if you can call it that) consists of either coffee or juice and a croissant and you have to walk down the street to get it.

Overall Comment: Ok for what we needed an overnight Hotel before we went on a cruise, so didn't spend a lot of time. Good location walkable to main sites.
What did you like: Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants in the area, Hotel has alift and the staff were informative. Bathrooms & rooms and hotel very clean
What you didn't like: No breakfast room so arrangements were made to have a coffee and apastry in a nearby bar - staff were surly so would give this a miss If I were you. or pick a hotel with a proper breakfast room.

Overall Comment: We were happy and have no complaints with the room, the service and the location.
What did you like: Jorge from Peru at the reception room was very kind and helped us very much with his comments and recommendations.
What you didn't like: The elevator doesn't work from the first floor and you have to carry suitcases up the stairs.

Overall Comment: Our general impression was very satisfied. The room was quite little. In the wardrobe there were only four hangers for two persons for a week. Luckily I had four hangers in my suitcase. However we got along very well.
What did you like: Location was very important to us and it was easy to go to the metro stations (A or B line), if you needed to go further. On the other hand, you could walk, if you were going to see the sights of Rome.
What you didn't like: There was no soundproof in the room. It was like it had happened in your room, when the neighbour was in the shower or flushed WC. For heavens sake that noise didn't last long.

Overall Comment: Hotel Virginia is very authentic, not much to do in the hotel but afterall it is just somewhere to stay as sight seeing is a must!! Very clean hotel and the staff are very friendly. Reception staff are very accommodating and can book tours as well. Ask for Constantino, such a nice guy and very helpful!!!!!! Will be booking again as soon as possible.
What did you like: Hotel Virginia is a 5 min walk from the main bus station and train station. It is only 1 euro on the bus, which takes approx. 15/20 mins to get to Vatican City etc!!!! Also the hotel stay per person for 3 nights cost only £120!!!!!!
