Weather you are into wine or not, the name Chianti is almost certainly familiar. But Chianti is not only a world famous wine and one of Italy’s best, but also a geographical zone. It lies in the central part of Tuscany and it is a part of the province of Florence as well as Siena. The definition of the actual Chianti area is somewhat diffuse, but basically consists of the beautiful land between Florence, Siena and Arezzo.

The Chianti landscape is a beautiful area to discover by foot or even by bicycle, there are many small villages well worth a visit, and also the bigger ones like Greve, Castellina and Radda in Chianti. One of the main attractions in this part of Tuscany is of course wine tasting. It is offered at many local farms, along with tasting of the local food products. This is also a nice way to get to know inhabitants and the area.
