Torrita di Siena is small village of only ca 7000 inhabitants and as the name reveals it lies in the province of Siena. Like so many in Tuscany, this is an irresistible medieval village with a beautiful surrounding landscape. The charming village is almost entirely encircled by the medieval wall and the very heart is the Piazza Matteotti, with the Palazzo Communal dating all the way back to 1200. A small but fascinating centre almost completely consisting of antic buildings. A place to enjoy in relax and also to use as base for visiting the rest of Val di Chiana.
