About Veneto, Italy
Veneto with a population of over 4,7 millions inhabitant, is the fourth biggest region in Italy. The east borders with the Adriatic sea and Friuli Venezia Giulia, the north meets the hilltops of Austria and the Tirol while the south borders with Emilia Romagna. The river Po which is the longest river in Italy, crosses the north part of the country, from the west border to the east. In Veneto the river creates a beautiful landscape in the regional park “Delta del Po” and finally meets the sea close to Venice. In the east of the region lays the Garda lake dividing the region from Lombardy, this beautiful lake is also the biggest in Italy.
Veneto hotels photogalleryVeneto is situated in the northeast of Italy, recognized by a very varied and beautiful landscape. In the north part of the region you'll find the snow-capped mountains of the Dolomites, in the east a beautiful coastline and in the west lays Italy's biggest lake, stunning Lake Garda. Several of Italy's famous cities are also here, the most known is of course the Queen of the Adriatic, enchanting Venice! But in the west you'll find another city just as romantic, Verona the home of Romeo and Juliet. If you want, Veneto can offer you ski adventures as well as cities of art and sunny beach holidays.
The places to visit in Veneto are numerous! Choose between a cosy guesthouse in the seaside village of Chioggia, or make your holiday a 5 star experience in Venice. While in Verona do you prefer to spend money on good food and wine? We will help you save with an economical B&B. But maybe your idea is to fly down some of Italy’s best ski slopes, well then we suggest a hotel in the village Cortina d’Ampezzo. Whatever hill top you have aimed, we will do our best to find you a suitable accommodation
