The city of Rovigo lies between the River Po and the Adige River.
Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II is the main square of the town and here you will find the town house occupying the 15th centaury building Loggia dei Notai and "Palazzo Roncale" a Renaissance building created by Venetian architect Sanmicheli. You will also find the Clock Tower, the Roverella Palace and the Academy Concordi, which holds a gallery with painting from the 15th and 18th century, as well as interesting archaeological founds from the pre-Roman, Roman and Egyptian periods
The major museums of Rovigo that deserves particular attention includes Museum of the Great Rivers, which testifies the bond between the man, his territory and the water; the Art Gallery Accademia Concordi mentioned above, exhibiting works by Palma il Vecchio, Tiepolo, Palma il Giovane, Longhi, Giovanni Bellini, and numerous works of local artists.
